Tenerife is the largest of Spain's Canary Islands with diverse landscapes, a pleasant climate, and a rich cultural heritage. The Island boasts numerous beaches, ranging from golden sandy shores to unique black sand beaches formed from volcanic activity like Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos. In April, the average temperatures in Tenerife is about 24°C (75°F) and enjoys 7-8 hours of sunshine during the day. Tenerife, like the other Canary Islands, is known for its consistent winds, crazy rock formations and a extraordinary underwater world, making it a popular destination for sailing, climbing and fishing.

SAILING

Sailing in Tenerife during April is a pleasant experience, characterised by favorable weather conditions and moderate winds, which is ideal for sailing. Wether you are a beginner or advanced sailor, our skipper will lead you how to hoist the sails, use the ropes or steer the boat. As a team we will have a shit load of fun! Due to the diving and climbing spots we will sail the area from Las Galletas up to the north and one day to the next island La Gomera. If the crew likes to sail in the night, then of course it would be a pleasure for us. The boats we sail are monohulls between 13 - 17 meters in length (depending on the size of the crew) with planty space for everyone.

CLIMBING

A maximum of 4 days climbing can be booked for this adventure.

Tenerife offers a diverse range of climbing opportunities, including traditional rock climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering. The island's volcanic origins have resulted in a distinctive and varied terrain, featuring steep and challenging overhangs as well as more moderate slab routes.

Much of the climbing in Tenerife is on basalt, a type of volcanic rock. Basalt offers good grip and interesting textures. More about climbing:

Arico: One of the most popular climbing areas on the island, Arico offers a variety of routes for all skill levels including deep water soloing. It's divided into two main areas: Arico Nuevo and Arico Viejo.

Guaria: The best sport climbing spot in Tenerife

Sport climbing from 5c to 8c

Las Cañadas del Teide: This area offers high-altitude climbing around the Teide volcano. It's known for its spectacular scenery and unique rock formations.

FISHING AND CULINARY

Fishing in April is a unique experience, as the season transitions further into spring. The waters around the island warm slightly, creating an ideal habitat for a diverse range of fish. You can expect to find fish such as spirited bluefish, Atlantic bonito and several varieties of smaller tuna. It's also possible to catch demersal fish such as groupers and snappers. You are welcome to bring your own fishing rod, but it is not necessary as we will provide it for you. Bottom fishing is a popular technique at this time of year due to the variety of fish available but also trolling can be effective, especially for bonito and smaller tuna. After a successful catch, our fishing guide will enhance your experience by showing you how to prepare bespoke meals with the fresh fish, offering a true taste of the sea. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day on the water or the thrill of reeling in a challenging catch, this period offers a unique opportunity to enjoy fishing in the Canary Islands.
