CLIMBING
A maximum of 4 days climbing can be booked for this adventure.
Sardinia offers an unique experience, characterised by its diverse landscapes and extraordinary rock quality. This Italian island is a climbing haven to all levels of expertise. From the rugged coastline to the towering inland cliffs, Sardinia's geological diversity offers a variety of opportunities for all styles of climbing, from trade and sport climbing to bouldering and deep water soloing. The island's most notable feature is its wide range of rock types, mostly limestone and granite. The limestone cliffs, often found along the coast, provide routes with sharp holds and steep overhangs, ideal for climbers seeking a challenging ascent. In contrast, the granite formations, especially in areas like Capo Testa in the north, are characterised by their smooth, wind-polished surfaces and unique crystalline structures, offering both technical climbs and bouldering opportunities.
More about climbing:
Capo Testa:
Its granite cliffs and boulders, presents a variety of routes that cater to climbers of all skill levels
including traditional (trad) climbing routes that can extend up to 120 meters.
Additionally, the area offers opportunities for deep water soloing, a form of free solo climbing over water. The area's wind-polished rocks and crystalline formations create interesting and varied problems to solve, while climbers are rewarded with stunning views of the coastline.
Lavezzi Island:
Characterised by its stunning granite rock formations, which are a climber's delight. The landscape is dotted with a mix of boulders and craggy outcrops, providing a variety of challenges for climbers. Despite its relatively small size, Lavezzi Island boasts a range of routes that can cater to different skill levels. From easier boulders perfect for beginners and those looking to improve their technique, to more challenging routes that require experience and skill, the island offers something for every climber.
FISHING AND CULINARY
After a successful day out on the serene Mediterranean waters, where you might reel in anything from Groupers and Sea Bass to Dentex and Tuna, the journey from sea to plate becomes an integral part of the adventure. Once you've made your catch, our guide demonstrate the techniques of preparing and cooking the fish. One of the highlights is learning how to prepare ceviche, a popular dish where the fish is cured in citrus juices, often lemon or lime, and spiced with chillies. This method highlights the freshness of the catch and offers a light refreshing dish. This 'catch and cook' experience allows you to not only enjoy the thrill of fishing but also to appreciate the taste of freshly caught seafood, prepared with expertise and flavoured with local ingredients
