SAIL, FISHING & DIVE

13. April 2024 - 20. April 2024

Get ready for a fun week-long boat trip! You'll live on our well equipped boats and spend our days sailing, fishing and diving. Alongside our daily adventures of fishing and diving, we may sometimes anchor in a quiet cove to relax and enjoy the sea. In the evenings we'll moor our boat in one of the well protected marinas and explore the local culture.

Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean and known for its unique landscape, much of which has been shaped by volcanic activity. The island boasts beautiful beaches like Playa Blanca, Papagayo, and Famara, known for their clear waters and sandy shores. In April, the average temperatures  is about 24°C (75°F) and enjoys 7-8 hours of sunshine during the day. Lanzarote, like the other Canary Islands, is known for its consistent winds and her extraordinary underwater world, making it a popular destination for sailing and diving.

SAILING

Lanzarote, like the other Canary Islands, is known for its consistent winds, making it a popular destination for sailing. We will sail the area from Arrecife to Corralejo which is the next Island Fuerteventura for some diving activities and fishing. Wether you are a beginner or advanced sailor, our skipper will lead you how to hoist the sails, use the ropes or steer the boat. As a team we will have a shit load of fun! If the crew likes to sail in the night, then of course it would be a pleasure for us. The boats we sail are monohulls between 13 - 17 meters in lenght (depending on the size of the crew) with planty space for everyone. More about sailing:

FISHING AND CULINARY

Fishing in April is a unique experience, as the season transitions further into spring. The waters around the island warm slightly, creating an ideal habitat for a diverse range of fish. You can expect to find fish such as spirited bluefish, Atlantic bonito and several varieties of smaller tuna. It's also possible to catch demersal fish such as groupers and snappers. You are welcome to bring your own fishing rod, but it is not necessary as we will provide it for you. Bottom fishing is a popular technique at this time of year due to the variety of fish available but also trolling can be effective, especially for bonito and smaller tuna. After a successful catch, our fishing guide will enhance your experience by showing you how to prepare bespoke meals with the fresh fish, offering a true taste of the sea. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day on the water or the thrill of reeling in a challenging catch, this period offers a unique opportunity to enjoy fishing in the Canary Islands.

DIVING

A maximum of 4 days with two dives each can be booked for this adventure!

Lanzarote's volcanic origins create an extraordinary underwater environment. We will explore a variety of volcanic features including caves and rock formations and expect to see a variety of fish including parrotfish, damselfish, angel sharks and barracudas. Octopus, rays and the occasional turtle also inhabit these waters. Some of the most famous dive sites in Lanzarote include the Museo Atlántico, an underwater sculpture museum created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor, the Cathedral, a large underwater cave, and the harbour wall in Puerto del Carmen, known for its rich marine life. This experience uniquely combines the excitement of marine exploration with the awe of volcanic geology.
